Beautiful temple built in Nagara style:

The temple’s architecture is truly remarkable. Built in the Nagara style, the temple stands in the captivating form of a Pancharatha, showcasing its splendid shape. The inscription of “Geeta Bhawan” on the temple’s facade acts as a magnetic attraction, beckoning individuals to pause amidst the fast-paced journey of life and dedicate a few moments to God. It signifies the importance of embracing the profound teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, initiating a new beginning, and finding respite from life’s tumultuous challenges through the power of thoughts, words, and actions.

As one beholds the grand and imposing entrance of the temple, an immediate sense of awe is evoked. The interior design and decoration of this sacred space are beyond words. Upon entering, one’s gaze is captivated by the mandap, featuring a small yet broad shikhara. Behind it, the main pinnacle of the temple majestically rises. Intricate carvings adorn every part of the temple, from its base to its peak, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship. The sanctum sanctorum rests just below the shikhara, hosting a collection of idols representing numerous gods and goddesses. Although multiple deities are installed together here, the sanctum sanctorum retains its sacred essence.

Upon passing through the entrance gate, one encounters a mandap, and before it stands the main gate of the temple. The wooden door adorning the entrance gate is exquisitely crafted, drawing admiration with its allure. An idol of Lord Ganesha is reverently installed here, while the Gayatri Mantra is delicately engraved just above the door. Additionally, beautiful idols of Gayatri Mata and Maa Saraswati grace the temple, enhancing its divine ambiance.

Radha Rani is sitting with Banke Bihari:

The temple primarily worships Lord Krishna, but it also houses idols of other gods and goddesses. As you enter the temple, you will be greeted by a captivating statue of Banke Bihari ji, accompanied by Radha Rani. Their idols, gracefully adorned with clothes and ornaments, are placed in a silver mandap, captivating the devotees with their divine beauty. The expressions on their faces exude joy, with a visible smile on the lips of the deity. The idol of Banke Bihari feels incredibly lifelike, capturing the attention and devotion of the devotees who stand before it.

In addition to Banke Bihari ji, a separate idol of Shri Hari is also installed in the temple. This idol is crafted in the South Indian style, possibly depicting Lord Balaji in a seated form, sculpted from black stone. Alongside Narayan, numerous other deities find their place within the temple. Idols of deities such as Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Ma Sita, as well as forms of Maa Durga, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Ganesha, and Lord Shiva, are sculpted in marble. Each idol is meticulously adorned, reflecting the artistic craftsmanship. Notably, Lord Jagannath is worshipped along with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra. Furthermore, the temple also houses the pindi form of Maa Abe, further enriching the spiritual ambiance.

Deity of Navagraha is also present in Geeta Bhavan:

In Sanatan Dharma, the significance of planets is acknowledged, as it is believed that their positions and conditions impact human life, influencing both happiness and sorrow. Geeta Bhawan also houses the idols of the nine planets— Rahu, Ketu, Surya, and others. These unique idols, not commonly found in other temples, captivate the attention of devotees who visit the temple.

Among these special idols is the divine depiction of Lord Narasimha, one of Lord Vishnu’s ten incarnations. This form represents the divine intervention when Lord Vishnu saved the life of his devotee, Prahlad, and vanquished the unrighteous demon Hiranyakashipu. Another extraordinary idol portrays Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan mountain effortlessly on his finger. Devotees spend hours observing these idols, finding immense joy in witnessing the divine forms of their beloved Lord.

Special events are held at the temple during festivals. Every morning and evening Aarti attract a large number of devotees, They eagerly participate in these sacred rituals, seeking blessings and divine grace.

Geeta Mandir, situated in Sector 13 of Karnal, Haryana, is easily accessible from various locations. This temple is approximately 140 kilometers away from Delhi, you can choose rail and bus transportation. Devotees traveling to Chandigarh, Shimla, or other destinations via the GT Road can reach the temple using their own vehicles. Additionally, there are direct state government bus services available from Delhi, Chandigarh, and other cities in western Uttar Pradesh to Karnal. Local rickshaws or totos (E-Vehicle) are also readily available at affordable rates from the bus stand to transport visitors to the temple.
